March 2018

March—a month with two Full Moons, one New Moon, the Equinox, and the first time planets station retrograde in 2018 (yes, up until now, no planets have traveled in retrograde)—offers plentiful opportunities to access your power.

As entrepreneurs, mothers, movers, and shakers, March will both entice and push you.

Kicking off with a Full Moon in Virgo on March 1st, this bountiful and auspicious Full Moon in Virgo boasts some compelling aspects. With the great benefic planets of the sky—good-luck Jupiter and love-oriented Venus—forming a perfect trine, this Full Moon screams magic, supporting the manifestation of goals and desires.

Think back to September of 2016. Where were you then? What goals did you set at that time?

Intentions set then crest now, so pay attention to what’s coming to fruition now and capitalize on momentum and growth.

Then consider what you wish to release this Full Moon.

What’s no longer serving you? What do you want to release? With the Moon beginning to wane, it’s the perfect time to cleanse. Take this metaphorically or literally.

Immediately after Venus makes a perfect angle to Jupiter during Thursday’s Full Moon, Mercury follows suit, signifying that good news might just be on the horizon as the week closes out. So keep your eye on the prize and expect good things. Now’s the time to sign on the dotted line and commit. I highly encourage you to use your social media channels today to promote your businesses, Empresses. It may be a Friday, but you don’t want to check out early. Write, sell, promote, speak. Now’s the time.

Over the weekend on March 3rd, the Moon shifts into relationship-oriented Libra, and the cosmic good vibes continue.

With the Sun moving into exact conjunction with Neptune while Mercury, Venus, and Chiron align at the same degree too, the stars align to support your healing, spiritual growth, and love. The weekend offers the perfect time to connect with your family, friends, and loved ones. The stars favor deep connection with yourself and others. Love in its highest essence is possible now. However, please note that things could feel intensely emotional, too.

Remember that as you resolve tension within yourself, you do so on behalf of your children and the planet. After all, it is Pisces we are speaking about—the sign of oneness. So don’t shy away from your feelings today. Tune into them and invite yourself into a deeper experience of self-compassion and self-love.

In the words of Carl Rogers, “What is most personal is most universal.” This rings especially true now. With a healing confluence in Pisces, the sign of oneness, now’s the time to understand just how connected we all are. As the Sun and Neptune deepen their alignment, and Venus, Chiron, and Mercury join forces as one, meditation proves particularly fruitful.

As Monday, March 5th, kicks off a new week, the deep vibes from the weekend may still reverberate, especially as the Moon moves from Libra into Scorpio, a sign it will travel in until 5 pm ET on Wednesday.

At this time, the extreme influence of water in the sky (5 planets in Pisces and the Moon in Scorpio) means that things will likely continue to feel wet, emotional, and sincere. Please practice breathing and encourage your children to do the same. With no planets in an air sign, it’s essential to balance things out via your breath. Another practice to focus on now is pleasure and orgasm. Let yourself relax into oxytocin-inducing orgasms as a way to inspire, uplift your mood, and tap into your emotional power.

On March 6th, things will likely lighten up (thankfully) as Venus and Mercury both move from Pisces into fiery, get-it-started Aries. This welcome shift will balance out the deep and intense vibes of the weekend/start of the week, igniting passion.

On March 8th, Jupiter, the planet of good luck and good fortune, stations retrograde. Since moving into Scorpio in October, we’ve seen the birth of the Me Too movement and the Time’s Up movement. Jupiter will travel retrograde until July 10th. During this time, we’ll revisit the progress made since October 10th and dig even more deeply into our truth. At the same time, Mercury enters its shadow.

While Mercury won’t go retrograde until 3/22, the Mercury retrograde story begins at this point. So pay attention to whatever is happening at this time, as it’s related to what your Mercury-in-retrograde will be about.

On March 9th, the waning Quarter Moon in Sagittarius marks the halfway point between the last Full Moon and upcoming New Moon. Use this moment to let go of that which is no longer serving you and make space for the new beginnings around the corner.

As you head into the weekend, focus on your family. Even with the Moon in stalwart Capricorn, nourishing and nurturing others supports your foundation. When it comes to organizing and situating your home life, you can get a lot accomplished.

Sunday the 11th packs an astrological punch. With Mars making a favorable aspect to Uranus (indicating breakthrough) and the Sun in a delightful position with Pluto, you can expect excellent ideas. However, with Mercury not in an ideal position to disciplinarian Saturn, digest ideas before diving headfirst into execution.

Then on Tuesday the 13th, good-luck Jupiter trines the Sun, making this a powerful day to launch and lead. Use this to your advantage. Schedule a FB live, send a compelling newsletter, make a pitch. But also be cautious and pay attention to the details, too. Mercury is in its shadow getting ready to station retrograde, and Venus is in a tough and awkward position to Saturn. So yes, there are green lights, but please check your rearview mirror, too!

For the remainder of the week, the Moon wanes back to New, moving from Aquarius to Pisces. Honor the release of the old. Let go of that which no longer works. Bring things to completion

Then on Saturday the 17th, the New Moon in Pisces offers a new beginning and opportunity to push new projects out the door. With the Moon aligning with the Sun at 26 degrees of Pisces at 9:11 am ET, this New Moon offers you the chance to conjure and create abundance. So if it’s money you want and money you need, focus your efforts on conjuring both your abundance mindset and business savvy. I encourage you to perform an abundance ritual or begin an abundance meditation series like John Randolph Price’s Abundance Book. It’s a 40-day abundance meditation series.

Nurture your intentions. Nurture your desires. Take daily action on behalf of what you say you want.

With Chiron conjoining the Sun and Mercury and Venus aligning at the same degrees on the 18th and 19th, astrological potency encourages healing, love, and kindness. However, don’t be surprised if difficult emotions rise to the surface, too. Should that be the case, remember the adage, “You have to feel it to heal it.” Be patient and kind to yourself. (You deserve it.)

Come the 20th, when the Sun exits Pisces and enters Aries, we have the Equinox. In the Northern Hemisphere it’s Spring, in the Southern Hemisphere it’s Fall. With a quarter of 2018 complete, use this time to review progress. Given that the Equinox happens so close to Mercury stationing retrograde, the seasonal shift isn’t necessarily a blast off but more of a cleanup.

Where are you in relation to your goals? What are you hoping for? Praying for? Reassess, recommit, and continue to take action daily on behalf of your desires.

On March 22, 2018, Mercury stations retrograde. With the first Mercury Retrograde in 2018 upon us, now’s the time to correct course. Between now and April 15th, the cosmic influence of going backward to go forward encourages realignment.

Expect things to feel bumpy, especially the first few days of the Mercury Retro experience.

On the 23rd and 24th, Venus clashes with Pluto and the Sun has a squabble with Mars. These days present difficulty. So please go gently. Give yourself lots of time to transition and try not to rush. Go slow to go fast.

On top of it all, the waxing Quarter Moon asks you to stay diligent and focused on your goals regardless. With the Moon in its home sign of Cancer, the archetypal mother powers are more accessible. So dig deep, Empresses, and do what you do best—love! Your children, family, and community need you.

On the 28th, Venus meets up with Uranus, connoting there’s good ideas and breakthroughs in the air. So pay close attention. With the Moon waxing to Full, the month closes out with a second Full Moon in the sign of Libra. Happening at 10 degrees at 8:36 am ET on March 31st, this Full Moon forms a T-square with Mars and Saturn, indicating this Full Moon might feel messy. Considering it happens amidst Mercury Retrograde with challenging aspects afoot, don’t be afraid to have some self-care on this Full Moon. Nourish and nurture you. Plan a beautiful ritual, take a bath, and breathe.

Summary: March, a potent astrological month, starts and ends on Full Moons. Jupiter and Mercury both go retrograde, and there’s a seasonal transition. Meanwhile the New Moon on the 17th offers a beautiful opportunity to push things out the door and redefine your relationship to abundance. Go for it, Empresses! Now’s the time.
