11/16: Venus Trine Neptune – Venus, the planet of love and beauty, makes a manifesting trine to Neptune, the planet of spiritual expansion. Indulge your inner priestess.

11/18: New Moon in Scorpio – Embrace the magical potential of the Scorpio New Moon happening at 6:42 am ET, at 26 degrees.

11/19: Mars Square Pluto – With Mars squaring Pluto, things may feel tense in the world. This is not a time to take risky actions or pick a fight (if you do it could blow up). Instead, take good care of you.

As we prepare for the upcoming New Moon in Scorpio, it’s time to release what’s no longer working. The Moon moves into Scorpio on Thursday—entering the darkest part of the lunar cycle—providing a fruitful time to pay attention to your inner world. Regardless of where you are in your menstrual cycle, the days leading up to the New Moon this month are a critical time to explore the depths of your psyche. With the winter solstice a little more than a month away, it’s time to start to think about what has gone well in 2017 and what you need to shed, an excellent exercise to engage in during the waning phase of the Moon.

No stranger to darkness, Scorpio pushes us to explore the deeper, darker sides of life as well as our sexuality. Now’s the time to pay close attention to what’s in your heart, mind, and soul while practicing mindful self-compassion, especially if awkward or icky emotions rise to the surface. Scorpio challenges us to go deep, access our truth, and transform.

Simultaneously on Thursday, Venus, the planet of love and beauty, makes a manifesting trine to Neptune, the planet of spiritual expansion. This gorgeous and sensual trine highlights creativity. Capitalize on this in both your business and home life.

Engage your children with art and creativity this day. Play with them. Encourage them to imagine and create. For those of you with older children, engage them in a spiritual conversation. Maybe even take them shopping.

On this same day, the Sun also makes a trine to Chiron, an asteroid which supports becoming the master of your transformation. With mysterious overtones today, don’t resist the process. It’s leading you exactly where you need to be. Be playful and have fun.

On Friday, Mercury, the planet of communication, makes a valuable connection to Mars, suggesting that words have power. Psychotherapy and coaching prove fruitful under these aspects and so does cathartic journaling. Process what’s up for you. Tomorrow is the New Moon! You want to enter the day with clarity regarding what you wish to call into your life, so use today wisely.

This New Moon in Scorpio calls for the winds of change. Not only are the Sun and the Moon aligned in this sign, but Jupiter and Venus (very close together) have also formed an auspicious conjunction just a few days prior on the 13th, and we still feel the afterglow! With Jupiter trining Neptune, we can expect support. With Mars squaring Pluto (Scorpio’s ruler), a power struggle may present itself. True to Scorpio’s spirit, we can expect the dark to become illuminated during this Moon phase.

Be sure to self-nurture and stay true to yourself. If you feel depressed, reach out for help. It bodes well to start therapy this New Moon! Most importantly, don’t forget to make time today to consider your plans for the next lunar cycle and write them down in a precise and clear manner. Since this is a late-degree New Moon, and it will go void, of course, immediately after the Moon and Sun conjoin, you’ll want to wait until 1:58 pm ET (or right after) to get to work on your New Moon manifestations.

Come Sunday, take time and space for yourself. With Mars squaring Pluto, things may feel tense in the world. This is not a time to take risky actions or pick a fight (if you do it could blow up). Instead, take good care of you. Prioritize exercise and channel your emotions through mindful movement. Try not to push yourself (or anyone else). Take a step back and prioritize self-care instead.

The following Monday as the Sun travels through the final degrees of Scorpio, we enter into the late season of fall and a further plummet into the darkness—at least in the Northern Hemisphere. As the Sun traverses the last degrees of Scorpio, a fixed water sign, awkward and uncomfortable emotions may arise from within. When the Sun exits the sign of the Scorpion, you may feel an inner shadow (or two) trigger. If so, give yourself time to be. Take the position of the observer and acknowledge what you feel without fixating on it. As the saying goes, “You have to feel it to heal it.” At 9:04 pm ET on Tuesday, the Sun enters optimistic and upbeat Sagittarius, shifting the cosmic landscape and your mood. This too shall pass. In the meantime, embrace the healing journey and the final days of the Sun in Scorpio.
