November 2019

With only two full months remaining in the year (and in the decade), now’s the time to review where you’ve been and simultaneously start the process of honing the vision of where you wish to go next. To support you with that (cosmically speaking, that is), the month begins with the Sun traveling through the sign of Scorpio while Mercury, the planet of communication, seemingly moves backward in its retrograde motion, also in Scorpio. Yes, Mercury is retrograde. And, to my estimation, this is a beautiful thing. After all, this combination of the Sun in Scorpio and Mercury traveling retrograde in the sign of Scorpio promotes depth, truth, power, and transformation. It’s a beautiful time to reflect, assess, and transform. While clarity may feel a bit hard to pin down until Mercury turns direct (which it will do on 11/20), the entire month of November suggests getting in touch with your power.

With the recent New Moon in Scorpio behind us and the Moon waxing towards full, the first week of the month supports the amplification of your spiritual and psychic prowess. Pay close attention to the intentions set with the New Moon in Scorpio on October 28th— nourish, nurture, and devote your power to conjuring your intended outcomes.

To support that, on November 1st, Venus– the planet of love, beauty, and personal values– enters into a mutable fire sign, Sagittarius. Given that the first of the month also brings the Day of the Dead when the veil between worlds is said to be the thinnest, this is a provocative moment to connect deeply with your spiritual capacity. Take a moment to honor your ancestors and the mysteries of life.

With the planet of love and beauty in Sagittarius– especially as throughout the month it will come closer and closer to Jupiter– there’s a world of good luck and good fortune. Venus and Jupiter conjoining this month is a crown jewel and astrological phenomenon that perfects on November 24th. You’ll feel this build as the month continues. Meanwhile, Venus in bold, blunt, and adventurous Sagittarius encourages bravery as well as a commitment to joy and freedom.

Speaking of freedom, the first weekend of the new month brings with it power, so use it to your advantage.

Come Saturday, November 2nd, the Sun trines the North Node of Fate, while Jupiter (the planet of growth) trines Eris (the dwarf planet of discord). This combination illuminates growth and expression. And with the Moon waxing in the sign of Capricorn, you can get oh so much done. Even more so since Venus also makes a luscious trine to Chiron (the wounded healer) which perfects on Sunday at 8:19 AM Eastern.

Next up on the 5th, Mars (the planet of action) squares Pluto, which is a not-so-lovely transit. Brace yourself as it could feel intense. This might feel a bit abrupt, so go easy, don’t try to do too much, and stay kind (especially to yourself). If you do feel aggressive energy building from within, put it to good use. Pick a project that you want to make progress on and stay focused on it all day. If you have energy fit to burst in your body, channel it sexually (orgasms do wonders for this) or get a good workout in (but be careful of overexerting yourself). This transit perfects at 5:17 AM Eastern, so you’ll feel it most on Monday. Be patient and stay kind.

On November 8th, Saturn (the planet of discipline), which currently travels in Capricorn, works extremely productively with both Neptune and the Sun. Saturn in Capricorn sextiles Neptune in Pisces and sextiles the Sun in Capricorn. Simultaneously, the Sun in Scorpio forms a water trine to Neptune in Pisces. In English? These notable aspects illuminate love and help you to access a more profound sense of peace from within. This day will potentially illuminate knowledge and spiritual knowing. Allow yourself to feel guided! Things might feel a wee bit magical. If so, embrace it. Use this gold-star day to your advantage.

On the 11th, the Sun and Mercury conjoin, which means we’ll likely feel the retrograde Mercury strongly then. Take note and go slow. Watch out for scheduling errors and snafus. On an emotional level, if old issues (or ghosts from the past) resurface, be patient and kind. This Mercury in retrograde may bring old items from the past to the forefront. If so, consider what they are here to teach you. Additionally, it will likely ask you to look at how you trade time for money or other ways you have your material needs met. Even ways your sexuality contributes to your getting what you want will fall under the scrutiny of this Mercury in retrograde.

On November 12th, the Full Moon in Taurus illuminates the sky. Known as the Beaver Moon, this Full Moon occurs at 8:34 AM Eastern at 19 degrees. At the same time, good-luck Jupiter and action-oriented Mars make a fortuitous angle of support. Neptune, the planet of dreams, also aligns well with both the Sun and Moon. Meanwhile, Pluto makes a harsh connection to Mars.  Like a piece of sand becoming a pearl inside of an oyster, let the friction in the sky act as a maturation process. You are the pearl, I promise!

November 13th continues to offer positive vibes and helps you to integrate the lessons of this Full Moon. To support this, Mercury makes a luscious trine to Neptune, helping you assimilate recent spiritual experiences while simultaneously opening up your intuition. And the Sun perfects its sextile to Neptune. This is all super positive. Though on the 14th, Venus in Sagittarius will square Neptune in Pisces, which can create confusion. So if you feel this, stay patient.

Come the 19th, Mars leaves Libra and enters into its home domain of Scorpio. Yes. This high placement for Mars helps you to animate goals and go after what you want. Thankfully, Mercury also gets ready to station direct, too, signifying an easier time to move forward. Mercury stations direct on the 20th! While it won’t clear its shadow until December 7th, this day officially concludes all of Mercury’s retrograde activity for the entire year. Yes! Use it as a time to reflect on how far you’ve come and all that you’ve learned in the process.

On November 23rd, the Sun exits Scorpio, entering the adventurous sign of Sagittarius. Sagittarius, a mutable fire sign, asks you to embrace freedom, joy, and growth.

Then on the 24th, Jupiter and Venus conjoin at 28 degrees of Sagittarius, igniting desires, passions, and the ability to go after your dreams. This is such a profound moment. Even with Mars in Scorpio opposing Uranus in Taurus, this particular day helps you to claim your goal. Yet, do take into consideration that Mars opposite Uranus might trigger an unexpected need to release something, too.

On the 25th, Venus exits brazen Sagittarius and enters into nose-to-the-grindstone Capricorn. With the month ending with Venus in Capricorn, give yourself time and space to digest your growth, especially as the Moon wanes dark.

Then, on November 26th at 10:05 AM Eastern, the Sun and Moon conjoin at 4 degrees of Sagittarius for the New Moon in the sign of the Archer. The New Moon in Sagittarius encourages dreaming big and claiming your vision. Couple this with Mercury (which is no longer retrograde) in a trine to Neptune, and the ability to imagine may feel on fire. (Sagittarius is a fire sign after all). On the challenging side of things, Mars, which currently travels in Scorpio, still opposes Uranus, which is in Taurus. This combination might feel jarring. It asks you to truly surrender old ways of being to reach new levels of success. Stay determined yet flexible. And trust. You are on your path, and everything is unfolding exactly as it should.

Thankfully, on the 27th, Neptune stations direct, helping you to feel less confused and more focused. And the remaining days of the month bring some impressive aspects, perfect for those who celebrate the American Thanksgiving holiday.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, on the 28th, Venus in Capricorn trines Uranus in Taurus while Mercury in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces. YES! In English, these transits bring gifts. So stay open to invitations and opportunities presenting themselves now.

The month ends with Mercury in Scorpio in a sextile to Saturn in Capricorn. This aspect invites you to commit yourself and is the perfect way to close the month.
